All of our custom paddles and most of our limited edition paddles are produced locally in Austin, TX. All other paddles are currently imported from a sports factory in Asia.

We primarily sell our paddles online at recesspickleball.com. However, our paddles are also sold at a select few retail shops. Please email hello@recesspickleball.com for more information.

Our composite paddles are made out of a variety of parts and plastics. The primary core of our paddle is made out of a honeycomb polypropylene. Our Classic and Limited Edition paddles have a fiberglass surface, while our Advanced paddles have a T700 carbon fiber surface.

Design Your Own Recess Paddles feature personalized text in your preferred color and font on the front, and a classic Recess design on the back. To get started, click the CUSTOMIZE IT button on the product listing.

- Under the BACK tab, select a paddle design for the back.

- Switch to the FRONT tab and add your text. Text can be added to the center and top of the paddle.

- Customize the text size, color, and fonts. Note: Font color options available are dependent on background color selected (white, cream, tan, or blue).

- Under Design Approval Process, select whether or not you would like a proof of your design sent to your email prior to printing (adds 1-2 business days to delivery timeline).

- Select the quantity you'd like to purchase. Discounts start at 2 paddles and increase with paddle volume purchased.

1 paddle: $128

2-3 paddles: $112 each

4-7 paddles: $106 each

8+ paddles: $98 each

- Add to cart and check out.

Once you place your order, a Recess Designer will review for final touches and then send to production in Austin, TX. Designs for orders that do not require a proof are finalized within 1-3 business days. Designs that require a proof are finalized within 3-5 business days, or when approval is confirmed by the customer via email.

If you still need additional edits after customizing, a Recess Designer will reach out after you place your order to bring your vision to life.

Design Your Own Paddle orders will be delivered approximately 3 weeks from the date the design is finalized. All other items in the order will ship at the same time.

If you notice that your shipping address is incorrect, please log in to your account to cancel your order before it has been fulfilled. If your order has already been fulfilled, it may be too late to cancel the order, but please reach out to hello@recesspickleball.com for assistance.

We offer shipping to Canada with FedEx International Economy. Please see our full shipping policy here.

If your package is lost, stolen, or damaged during transit, Recess offers a replacement order free of charge or your original order value in store credit. Please email us at hello@recesspickleball.com to start the process.

Recess is committed to customer satisfaction. For US-based customers, merchandise purchased online can be returned within 35 days of the order fulfillment date to receive a refund*, store credit, or exchange for a new color or size. *A return fee may apply.

We are a small but mighty team, and orders typically take 2 business days to process before they are shipped. During peak seasons or promotional periods, order processing times may be extended.
